Radon Gas

Radon gas is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers and is responsible to about 20,000 deaths each year.  Radon is a natural radioactive gas that you can’t smell or see.  It may be in your home without your knowledge.

According to the Nebraska Health and Human Services Department one out of every two radon tests conducted in the state are elevated.  Residents living in these homes with elevated radon levels are at increased risk to acquire lung cancer.
